Minnamurra is a coastal suburb of the town Kiama on the NSW South Coast (about two hours south of Sydney). Minnamurra is small town that attracts visitors each year to the Minnamurra River and surfing's Mystic's Beach. The name "Minnamurra" is aboriginal for "river of many fish"
Minnamurra Public School is the local school for the Minnamurra, Kiama Downs and Gainsborough area.
Minnamurra rainforest lies about 10km inland in the Jamberoo valley, at the edge of the escarpment, and holds the remnants of a forest that once covered the entire Illawarra region.
