The office of Minister of Customs was created by Statute 31 Vict., c. 43, and assented to on May 22, 1868. The offices of Minister of Customs and Minister of Inland Revenue amalgamated and the office of Minister of Customs and Inland Revenue was created by Order in Council dated May 18, 1918.
