mindFIELD an electro-industrial and ambient band from Boston, MA. Originally formed in 1994 under the name Too Far Gone in Philadelphia, PA, by Gabriel H. Shaw. Shaw later relocated to Worcester MA and renamed the band mindFIELD in 1997. Several cassette only demos were released from 1994 to 1998 and four CDR demos were made between 1999 and 2002. After numerous performances locally with fellow bandmates John Trask and Kevin Barbare, Shaw moved to Boston MA in 2002 and reformed the band. The new lineup included Regan Miller and Stacia Tucker, both on keyboards. In 2004, mindFIELD released their first official CD independently, titled Singularity.
mindFIELD soon began performing live with other well known Goth and Industrial bands, including The Crüxshadows, Stromkern, Haujobb, Psyclon Nine, Ayria, and Mindless Faith. During this time Shaw began working with Jared Louche on putting together a new live version of the coldwave band, Chemlab. Currently, Shaw is recording the followup to the Singularity CD, due out in Summer 2007.
