Minamishimabara (南島原市 Minamishimabara-shi?) is a city in Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan.
It was founded on March 31, 2006 upon the merger of several towns (Arie, Fukae, Futsu, Kazusa, Kita-Arima, Kuchinotsu, Minami-Arima and Nishi-Arie) in Minamitakaki District, which was dissolved as a result. The Mayor is Matsushima Tsuguyoshi.
