Minamikyūshū, Kagoshima

Minamikyūshū (南九州市 Minamikyūshū-shi?) is a city on the southern tip of Satsuma Peninsula, in Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan.

As of 2007, the city has a population of 40,965 and an area of 357.85 km². Its population density is 114 per km².

On December 1, 2007, the city was formed by merger of the towns Ei, Chiran, and Kawanabe.
