Minamiōsumi, Kagoshima

Minamiōsumi (南大隅町 Minamiōsumi-chō?) is a town located in Kimotsuki District, Kagoshima, Japan. The town occupies the southern part of the Ōsumi Peninsula and its name literally means "the southern part of Ōsumi."

The town was formed on March 31, 2005 from the merger of the towns of Nejime and Sata.

As of 2000, the town has an estimated population of 10,741 and a density of 50.29 persons per km². The total area is 213.59 km².
