[edit] Ivo Andrić
The link you put forward as an argument (http://www.websters-online-dictionary.org/definition/Serbian) is citing Wikipedia as its source. We are discussing the accuracy of the Wikipedia article, you have created a circle. That is like saying I am right because I am right. It doesn't prove anything. Miroslav Radman, a Croat, is a member of the French Academy of Sciences, does that make him French? I also do not want to start a "nationalist" argument with you so let us stay focused on facts. I will not revert the article until we sort things out. I agree with you that Andric was both a Croatian and a Serbian writer, but the issue here is his ethnicity because the article is about the Serbian nation. If you would write a novel in German, that would make you a German writer, but not a German by ethnicity (even if you would be a German nationalist). You can not choose your ethnicity just like you can not choose your race, it is something you are born with. People can be of mixed ethnicity, but that is not the case here, you can not have two nationalities at one time. Btw. thank you for trying to improve my work on Wikipedia, I will read the tips as soon as I can. Mrcina (talk) 00:05, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
If you have a reliable source that says he is a Serb, please cite it. Here is mine saying he is a Croat. http://www.biographybase.com/biography/Andric_Ivo.html As far as Andric declaring himself goes: http://www.croatianhistory.net/gif/andri.jpg (Narodowość: Chorwat means Nationality: Croat) I am not saying that he didn't contribute to the Serbian culture just that he isn't an ethnic Serb, he is a Croat, the article is called Serbs and not People contributing to Serbian culture, science, arts...
--Pockey 22:39, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
Poz, --Pockey 22:16, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] "of" or no "of"?
In the beginning of last month, you removed the "of" from 'State Union of Serbia and Montenegro' in the Serbia and Montenegro article. Do you by chance have a source for this? I've checked SCG and non-SCG sources and i've found that the British Foreign Office, The US State Department, The SCG Presidents website, and the SCG Constitutional Charter all have the "of". The UN does not use the "of".
Thanks for your help in clearing this for me. - Thanks, Hoshie 07:13, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

Hi - I didn't close that discussion, nor (I think) did I delete the templates. At the time, I wasn't a sysop, and never went to TfD anyway :). Radiant! is who you want to speak to. Martinp23 14:46, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Emir Arven's RfC
...and now the bad news of my visit to your talk page. Since I remember that you had a huge conflict with User:Emir Arven, could you please supply us the relevant links?
It could be of great assistance in the Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Emir Arven. Thanks in advance. Cheers. --PaxEquilibrium 15:02, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Rainbow Adams Island.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Rainbow Adams Island.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Jackaranga 10:04, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
- Yes it was not an error on your part, the license tag used to lead people to believe no rationale was needed. Jackaranga 19:57, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
