"The title, which most critics seem to highlight, is Presley’s rendition of "Don’t Be Cruel"". That doesn't seem to make any sense to me. "The title"? And a lot of the song descriptions seem to be taken word-for-word from the Rolling Stone review of the album here: [1] with a few tenses changed... 62.25.109.195 13:17, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Assorted corrections
Having just listened to the complete 50th anniversary version, I spotted a few errors that I have corrected. The reference to Presley being in Vegas after filming Love Me Tender is most likely wrong as Presley saw Wilson perform while he was in residence at the Frontier Hotel briefly in 1956. 68.146.8.46 20:25, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
I interviewed Sun Sound Engineer "Cowboy" Jack Clement recently. He states that he was recording the "Matchbox" sessions when the quartet arrived and started jamming. The jam session was already in progress when he decided to record it, and started setting up mikes. Sam at the time was having coffee next door at the restaurant, and when he came back and saw what was taking place, he recognized the publicity opportunity and called the paper. If all of this is true, Clement actually recorded the session and not Phillips.63.106.80.190 18:05, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
