[edit] Non-Guild Connections

So far, Millia's relationship with the other characters has more or less been exclusive to the Assassins Guild. Her Story Mode in GGXX seems to stay true to this, save for one character: Sol Badguy. In her encounter with Sol the two appear to know each other (a situation similar to him and Axl Low); they're both after I-No in attempt to get to two different people and Millia, after voicing her recognition of Sol, says she "doesn't want to interfere with him" but that she "has no other choice", and at the end Sol tells her "Don't blame me for what happens to you". The Arcade victory quotes between the two suggest some sort of emotional or obligatory connection (Millia: "Were you trying to help me? I may not have another chance. For now, I thank you." Sol: "That was your last chance. If you get up again, you're gonna pay with your life."). Millia's feelings towards Sol appear to be rather positive, wheras Sol's are a lot more vague and can easily be interpreted as malicious. Possible romance? Obviously it's a major stretch, but right now appears to be all we have in the ways of a non-Guild storyline for Millia to possibly expand upon if the Zato one is ever concluded. – Kuuenbu 22:04, 26 March 2006 (UTC)

I'd say that since this's just speculation, it ... might count as original research. --Yar Kramer 17:15, 27 March 2006 (UTC)
I know that's why I'm sticking it to the discussion page. – Kuuenbu 20:02, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
Oh okay cool. Anyway, uh ... I dunno, for some reason I'm sort of wary of anything other than explicitly-outlined romances (and the evidence that Genya Arikado in Castlevania is Alucard counts as "explicit"). On the other hand, I don't really analyze characters' storylines other than Dizzy (who admittedly doesn't have much beyond speculation), so I dunno. --Yar Kramer 21:45, 28 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Bisexual

... well, I guess if Venom can be gay for Zato, and given my theory about the May Ship (considering that the only alternative is Johnny, who is reserved for May), I suppose there's no reason why not ... although, uh, are the intro-quotes necessarily dependent on who her opponent is? --Yar Kramer 17:13, 20 February 2006 (UTC)

Yep, I think one of them is her hitting on Jam in Guilty Gear X. Or XX. Memory's not quite so good. But I do recall there's HEAVY insinuation that she swings both ways (in the original Japanese anyhow, not sure if they took the quotes out of the North American release or not). TKarrde 22:32, 20 February 2006 (UTC)
    • winquote of Millia vs. Jam in XX: "Abandoning your dream so easily? Maybe giving up is a smart move." Quote from Japanese (romaji): "Koreshiki no ketsumatsu de tachikirete shimau yume naraba, akirameru koto ne." (translates to "If your dream is cut off by this, then give up.") I can't find quotes for X, and merely saying "It's there, I just don't remember" is NOT a reference by any stretch of the imagination. I removed it again. Danny Lilithborne 00:51, 13 April 2006 (UTC)
      • Let's not have this turn into another case of the Samus Aran revert war. Yar's been saying a lot against original research in these articles, and I'm inclined to agree with the sentiment. Solid, quotable, provable, and preferrably specifically cited evidence is needed for any resolution to such a dispute, and the burden of proof should lie on the prosecution, so to speak. Therefore, it just makes sense to leave this speculation out of the article. Digital Watches 07:52, 3 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Bounty

I'm pretty sure it is half a millian World Dollars, so $500,000 is correct. --Yar Kramer 01:09, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

Nope, it's 50 million. [1] Danny Lilithborne 02:04, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
No linky. And I could've SWORN that a bunch of other places it said half a million ... This requires more research. --Yar Kramer 03:48, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
Aha, an official source. It says 500,000. And I'm, uh, inclined to go with what appears to be the game's Japanese official website over GameFAQs ... --Yar Kramer 03:54, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
That's strange; the plot documents on GameFAQs are normally reliable. Maybe they changed it, or perhaps it was a mistranslation. Oh well; revert away:) Danny Lilithborne 03:57, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
Wouldn't be the first time they changed something, if they had. Someone who's been keeping track of the individual games said Sol kept getting retconned as being older and older. --Yar Kramer 20:58, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Er. Cite sources in background?

While I'm pretty sure the whole forbidden magic thing is canon, it seems like a lot of the details are speculated (One must sacrifice something, creature is not her hair but merely is similar, etc.) I'm not exactly an expert on canon outside of the games (official backgrounds, drama CDs) but I've never heard any of that before, and it would be nice to see a source. It's also a bit... sketchily written. One thing I'd like to know is why the phrase "Similar to that of" appears to often in the GG character articles, and why it's entirely misused (A creature similar to that of her own hair?). I'm blanking on other examples, but I'm pretty sure it's poor writing, and should be revised. -- Digital Watches! 06:54, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Millia has no soul?

I was playing X By your side. and after a battle between Teastiment and Millia, Testimant said "Your body has no soul. Do you think you can win without a soul?" And Millia used one of the Forbidden Magics, and Zato had to give up his sight. Do you think that Millia had to get rid of soul in order to control her hair? And if her hair is kinda the same as Zato1's shadows, dose that mean that she'll eventually be taken over by her hair?

  • I think it's just figurative speak typical of anime and such. JuJube 03:38, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
  • then what would he mean by that? Close the world 01:16, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
