[edit] Seperation
This article NEEDS to be divided into two parts: anime and manga. Or better yet, make an anime article and a manga article, and delete this one. --66.82.9.80 03:24, 9 March 2006 (UTC)
I agree, this article MUST BE SEPARATED into two articles. It becomes confusing and for people who want to just view the animé version, like me, or just the manga, it gets tough to read through. A lot of editing should be done. After this is done, it is necessary to put two separate links on whatever articles have this article linked to it. This arc is very long too so it would be unadvisable to just divide this article into two parts. Lastly, since most of the characters seem to play different roles in both the animé and manga, screenshots will be helpful!
Yes. The anime and manga versions are so vastly different, you could almost consider them two different stories. There are so many "but in the manga, this happens" sentences that it's almost impossible to even figure out which you're reading about at a given point.
I second that. I'm trying to read the article, and after a while of all the (this was different for the manga) interludes, I have no clue how things went in either version.
I think that Millennium World should merge with Ceremonial Battle, because they are in the same parts in the manga.
- Every single line relating to Yu-Gi-Oh is absolutely messed up, I can almost not believe it!
- Yes I agree, there should be separate entries for English Anime, Japanese Anime, and Manga.
- I think purists wanting to use Japanese names should fork another article.
[edit] Zorc
Zorc is spelled with a 'k'
"Zork" is a fan spelling. The official spelling of his name is "Zorc".
[edit] Concerning Zorc
There seems to be some confusion amongst people about who manga Zorc is. Most seem to think that he's a demon god who is in Akhenaden's body. I've read the manga and this is wrong. Zorc is Akhenaden's shadow soul (like Yami Marik was to Marik) born inside of him through the Millenium Eye's power after Akhenaden made a dark wish on it ("I wish my son was king!")
http://www.janime.biz/manga/manga/Ckid305/12.jpg Here you see a scene from the original final battle from 3000 years ago. As you can see, there is no demon Zorc, just the dark priest (who is Zorc). http://www.janime.biz/manga/manga/Ckid305/13.jpg And here you see Atem and Zorc's souls being sealed away, once again Zorc is shown as Akhenaden.
The demon god Zorc, as far as I know, was created by Dark Bakura for the TRPG so that Zorc's soul (the one talking to Akhenaden from earlier) can use it as a vessel for the battle against Atem.
If you have any evidence that can disprove all this, please state it.
- Trust me, I've looked over all this and discussed it before. Though the way you put it is definitely different than any of the other arguements I've heard before. When people read that, they usually think that it's just from the effects of the Dark RPG changing things around by having Akhenaden's dark side talking to him. But this is the first time I've heard it put the other way around. But that brings up the question that everything that happens in the RPG world is supposed to be just like the events that happened 3000 years ago (except for the bits that were caused by Yugi and the others interfering, as well as all the time stuff that Yami Bakura does). If that's so, then the demon Zorc is supposed to fit in with the actual past in some way. Eh, it's just because there's little English translations of the manga out at the moment, so it's hard to be positive about everything that goes on during that saga. Geg 18:48, 12 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Akhenaden
isn't Akhenaden spelled Akunaden??
"Akunadin" is a fan spelling. The official English spelling is "Akhenaden". --Geg
