Why are some of the words in this mostly English article in French? "Defénse", for example. Pointing to the French translation of "United States of America" in the list of countries but no other country? "Dépenses en armement"? I understand that the source for the information is in French, but if the work is translated why not translate it all? Why not place the French version in the French defense budget Wikipedia page? —Preceding unsigned comment added by J.B. Nicholson-Owens (talkcontribs)

because french is a cool language

It needs more work, of course. This is a collaborative effort - your assistance (small or large) would be greatly appreciated. --Singkong2005 01:39, 3 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Incorrect Statements

There appears to be vandalism within the list of country budgets. The histories show several different budgets - I'm not sure which is the proper 2002 budget, though I am certain the current value of $22B is wrong.

The article states , "While the United States now spends more on defense than the rest of the world combined..." This is not accurtae, as other articles (namely Military of the United States) state that the budget of the united states is equal to the next 20 largest military budgets combined. Still a huge number, but not the same as the entire world combined. Rugz 14:46, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
