[edit] Automation?
Have you considered talking to the Automation Department of the Military History Wikiproject? They might me able to auto-generate this list periodically. - Vedexent (talk) - 16:29, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
- Do specific wars/battles/campaigns also fall under this list? If so - we will need the list automated. - Vedexent (talk) - 16:31, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

- I dropped a note into the automation department's discussion page. - Vedexent (talk) - 16:36, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
- If this could be automated, that would be IDEAL! Didn't realise such a thing was possible - thanks! - PocklingtonDan 16:40, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
- Just taking a look at what is possible through automation and it looks like a lot of it is done through perl - I actually have quite a lot of experience with perl myself - if you hit a brick wall with the automation department let me know and I'll look into the possibility of writing a bot myself that is able to update this. It seems to me that having a bot that oculd produce a list of the status of every article in a given category would be something of use to every area of wikipedia, not just this category.
