• 1916 - World War I: An ANZAC column in the Sinai successfully attacked Turkish troops at Bayoud and Mageibra.
• 1940 - World War II: Second convoy of the Second AIF arrived in Egypt. The force consisted of 17th Brigade and 6th Division Artillery.
