• 1940 - World War II: Australian Government announces the creation of the 7th Division as part of 2 AIF.
• 1975 - 6th Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment relieved 5th/7th Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment in the cleanup operation at Darwin after Cyclone Tracey.
