• 1901 - Government issued the proclamation leading to the amalgamation of all Australian colonial naval and military forces. The order was effective on 1 March 1901.
• 1968 - Vietnam War: 3rd Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment repulsed the second attack at Fire Support Base Anderson
