"Millionaire" is an R&B–P-Funk–electro song written by American singer-songwriter Kelis and singer-songwriter/producer André 3000—half of the duo OutKast—for Kelis' third studio album, Tasty (2003).
The song was released as the album's third single in October 2004. Just like Kelis' previous hit "Trick Me", it was released across the world, but not in the U.S.. The track is a collaboration between Kelis and André, over an electro-space-funky R&B beat. It contains a sample from Doug E. Fresh and Slick Rick's 1985 song "La Di Da Di" as well as Rick's 1991 song "I Shouldn't Have Done It".
It became her third consecutive top three hit in the UK, and it managed to sell a final number 65,000 copies there.
The video, directed by Giuseppe Cappotondi, does not feature Kelis or André 3000, and it instead has children playing roles of young Kelis and André.

[edit] Chart performance
"Millionaire" was released as the third single off "Tasty" and in most countries was the final single to have been released. "Millionaire" became yet another hit for Kelis in the UK when it debuted and peaked at #3, becoming Kelis' third consecutive top 3 hit and sold about 65,000 copies. "Millionaire" although achieved a position in the UK top 3, spent a relatively short 11 weeks on the chart and quickly declined before it fell out of the chart completely shortly after its debut, but none the less remains Kelis' third biggest hit in the UK, tied with "Lil star" which peaked at #3 in 2007. Despite peaking within the top 3 in the UK, "Millionaire" performed poorly on charts internationally, peaking at #43 in Switzerland, #65 in Germany and #69 in Austria. Also in Australia "Millionaire" debuted at a relatively low #30, but peaked at #23 several weeks later, but compared to her previous two singles "Milkshake" and "Trick me" which both became top 5 singles, "Millionaire" seemed to have ended Kelis' string of top 5 hits and went uncertified. In the US just like "Trick me", "Millionaire" was not released and therefore did not chart on the US billboard hot 100; "Trick me" however had managed to chart on the US Billboard Bubbling Under R&B/Hip-Hop Singles, while "Millionaire" had failed to chart on any Billboard charts.
