From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Million Miles Away" is the third single from The Offspring's album Conspiracy of One. It is a largely unknown single from the album, with only a modest reception in the UK, and was not included on the band's Greatest Hits or Complete Music Video Collection. Its art features a man shadowed in black with orange eyes walking down a beaten and somewhat horror-film esque path (drawn by Alan Forbes). The man himself can be found on the inner artwork of the physical CD case.
[edit] Track Listing
- "Million Miles Away"
- "Dammit, I Changed Again (Live)"
- "Sin City (ACDC Cover)"
- "Want You Bad (Blag Dahlia Mix)"
- "Million Miles Away (Apollo 440 Remix)"
[edit] Music Video
The song's only music video was that of a live performance dubbed over by the recorded version of the song. This may have played a part in its lesser success as a single. The recording may have taken place at Wembley Arena.
[edit] Reaction
The song is fairly popular among many Offspring fans, often called the best on Conspiracy of One despite its release as a third single.[1] It is also the highest rated single by The Offspring (4.04) on Rate Your Music.[2] Aside from being a stronger song, this also may be because it is less deliberately mainstream than the previous two singles and also has a more serious subject matter. However, it is rarely played live and remains one of their less well-known singles.
