Milford Township is a township in Pike County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 1,292 at the 2000 census.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 12.6 square miles (32.7 km²), of which, 12.5 square miles (32.3 km²) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.4 km²) of it (1.11%) is water.

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 1,292 people, 527 households, and 375 families residing in the township. The population density was 103.5 people per square mile (40.0/km²). There were 594 housing units at an average density of 47.6/sq mi (18.4/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 96.90% White, 1.39% African American, 0.08% Native American, 0.70% Asian, 0.08% from other races, and 0.85% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.48% of the population.

There were 527 households out of which 30.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 61.3% were married couples living together, 7.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 28.7% were non-families. 22.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 9.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.45 and the average family size was 2.91.

In the township the population was spread out with 23.1% under the age of 18, 4.1% from 18 to 24, 25.5% from 25 to 44, 30.0% from 45 to 64, and 17.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 44 years. For every 100 females there were 101.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 98.0 males.

The median income for a household in the township was $48,264, and the median income for a family was $57,500. Males had a median income of $41,771 versus $31,146 for females. The per capita income for the township was $24,663. About 4.1% of families and 5.2% of the population were below the poverty line, including 5.7% of those under age 18 and 7.4% of those age 65 or over.
