The Mile One Centre, formerly known as Mile One Stadium, is the main sports and entertainment centre in the City of St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. It opened in 2001, replacing Memorial Stadium. The arena is located at the beginning of the Trans-Canada Highway, hence the name, Mile One. The arena seats 6,250 people for hockey.
Mile One Centre was originally home to the St. John's Maple Leafs of the American Hockey League. The Leafs became the Toronto Marlies in 2005, and were replaced by the St. John's Fog Devils, an expansion team in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. The Devils are relocating to Verdun, Quebec for the 2008-2009 QMJHL season, leaving Mile One without a major tenant.

The arena hosts the annual Herder Cup tournament, the largest hockey tournament in the province. It hosted the 2002 AHL All-Star Game, and the 2005 Scott Tournament of Hearts.
A National Basketball Association exhibition game between the Toronto Raptors and the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2003, was cancelled on game night due to an excess of condensation built up on the playing surface due to the inside temperature.
In September 2007, the stadium hosted an NHL exhibition game featuring the Boston Bruins and New York Islanders.

Many universally known bands have played in Mile One Centre since it opened in 2001. The list of entertainers that have taken stage continue to grow as the years go by. Here's a short list to get an idea of past acts, they include; Barenaked Ladies, Chantal Kreviachuk, Live, INXS, Hilary Duff, Hootie and the Blowfish, The Tragically Hip, Sarah Harmer, David Usher, Simple Plan, finger eleven, Billy Talent, Three Days Grace, Thornley, The Novaks, The Tea Party, Sum41, The White Stripes, Queens of the Stone Age, Pearl Jam, Snoop Dogg, Ludacris, The Game, Alice Cooper, Kenny Rogers, George Jones, Daniel O' Donnell, and Bob Dylan. In the coming months, Mile One Centre is scheduled to host The Backstreet Boys, Avril Lavigne, Feist, and Lenny Kravitz to name a few.
