Part of the front cover of the 1997 revised and reprinted edition of "The Encyclopædia of Ball Juggling" - Compiled, Written and Illustrated by Charlie Dancey and Published by Butterfingers, Bath, England - this cartoon by the author depicts one half of the juggling pattern Mills Mess.

Though this image is subject to copyright, its use is covered by the U.S. fair use laws because:

1. It is part of the cover of a previous edition of the book discussed in the article.
2. It is of much lower resolution than the original (copies made from it will be of very inferior quality) as it is smaller and taken by a digital camera held by a shaky photographer!
3. The photo is only being used for informational purposes.
4. Its inclusion in the article adds significantly to the article because it demonstrates the author's illustration style, discussed in the article, and provides a much more valuable insight than just words as to why the said book was popular and well-received.
5. Its inclusion does in no way detract from the author's and/or publisher's ability to sell the book.
