[edit] Image tagging for Image:Gardhab.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Gardhab.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Notability of Seema Mustafa
A tag has been placed on Seema Mustafa, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Pekaje 10:23, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Seemamustafa.JPG
Hi, you had earlier used {{CopyrightedFreeUseProvidedThat}} for Image:Seemamustafa.JPG. The image is not Copyrighted free use -- free use means you can use the image for commercial purposes, and have derivatives. So, I removed CopyrightedFreeUse template. The image might classify as fair use, though. utcursch | talk 12:11, 23 March 2007 (UTC)

I noticed the "contributions" as well. Your work is sourced and true, his is not.Bakaman 03:24, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Post-war developments
Can I request you to perhaps complete the planned section before adding it? Also it must be attributed to Marxists. Please see WP:Citing sources to see more information. And also use <ref></ref> tags. Traing 07:38, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

- Many of your edits and sources arev very good, thankyou. However, I believe the current Immediate Post-War Developments section would do better in the short 3 paragraph ceasefire section. Regards. Traing 07:46, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
- official Indian history. You can source from this by using <ref name="officialhistory"/> Traing 07:24, 18 April 2007 (UTC)

Thank-you for your brilliant additions. I have compressed them and moved your exact wordings to 1987 Sino-Indian skirmish. Traing 07:49, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

Sorry, you're quite right. I didnt even see the interview was with Javed; I just thought "blast, someone's added Varsha's accusations" and deleted it per WP:BLP. Thanks for catching that. Hornplease 09:49, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
- Incidentally, if you want to start an article on the Pak-India Ppls Forum I would be willing to help out... an assumption made on the basis of your recent edits to D'Souza's bio. Hornplease 09:53, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
- The Career break part in the VB article may have been authentic, but WP:BLP, the wikipedia policy governing bio articles, does not permit linking to or sourcing from blog posts or newsgroups.
- About AID, WP:RS requires that we find a reliable source saying "AID has worked against IDRF"; the reason being that if no reliable source - a mjor paper, or peer-reviewed work of scholarship, or book, has written about it, then it isnt notable enough to be in the article. IN particular, merely looking at stopfundinghate.com and inferring details from there might be original research. In any case, placing it under 'criticism' might be questioned.Hornplease 04:31, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

Apologies for the late reply. I was overwhelmed with work for much of the past week and didn't have a chance to check Wikipedia until the weekend. Thanks for posting the links to the wiki talk page and to my own. I'll try to take a look at all of them in my free time. --Yuje 02:10, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
Sorry about that. I didn't notice that you added in stuff about casualties. I took a glance through the diffs, and there were several pages of deleted material, so I probably didn't notice your additions in the mess of things. Please add it back again. I appreciate your efforts in helping us find more sources on various aspects of the article. Please don't take my accidental deletion as my objection to it or a deliberate revert. --Yuje 06:48, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

Please read WP:BLP and WP:NOR. On WP you must restrict yourself to strictly what you can find on reliable sources, not the 'obvious inferences' one could draw. Please note that I have retained your HT link, and indicated that that link groups her in with several individuals as 'pro-left'. About your comments on my talkpage, a cardinal virtue on wikipedia is to assume good faith, so I trust you will attempt to avoid accusations of slant in the future. Hornplease 08:38, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:PiledHigherDepper-Slackenerney.PNG
Hello Mikeslackenerny, an automated process has found an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, such as fair use. The image (Image:PiledHigherDepper-Slackenerney.PNG) was found at the following location: User:Mikeslackenerny. This image or media will be removed per statement number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media will be replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. The image that was replaced will not be automatically deleted, but it could be deleted at a later date. Articles using the same image should not be affected by my edits. I ask you to please not readd the image to your userpage and could consider finding a replacement image licensed under either the Creative Commons or GFDL license or released to the public domain. Thanks for your attention and cooperation. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 04:55, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Gardhab.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Gardhab.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MER-C 12:15, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Seemamustafa.JPG
Thanks for uploading Image:Seemamustafa.JPG. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add
{{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast 17:26, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] JohnDolan.jpg
I have tagged Image:JohnDolan.jpg as {{replaceable fair use}}. If you wish to dispute this assertion, please add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}} to the image description page and a comment explaining your reasoning to the the image talk page. Calliopejen1 22:42, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
- Hey, if you took this picture you can release it into the public domain. If not, do you know who took it? Dsol 14:24, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Varsha.JPG
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Varsha.JPG. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Rajdeep Sardesai 2008.JPG
Thank you for uploading Image:Rajdeep Sardesai 2008.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 04:25, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] M. J. Akbar
Thanks for your note on my talk page, the reason I moved M. J. Akbar to Mubashar Jawed Akbar is because that's how the article introduces him. Feel free to move it back - but if you do, you should also note in the lead that "M. J. Akbar" is how he is commonly known. Regards Pahari Sahib 16:34, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Copyright violation in Joseph Stein (Architect)
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Joseph Stein (Architect), by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Joseph Stein (Architect) is unquestionably copyright infringement, and no assertion of permission has been made.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Joseph Stein (Architect), please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself.
