[edit] WikiProject Fire Protection

First of all, thank you for joining the project!

Probably the first thing to do is to just simply get organized. We still need to gather articles and sort and rate them based on their quality. In other words, we need to get through some "project" issues first. Then we can begin work on the articles themselves.

Also, regarding Achim, it seems that he has some great knowledge, but we just need to get him more knowledgeable on Wikipedia's categorization system, since he and I had previously clashed over that, and I hope I didn't alienate him completely (if nothing else, I think I may have gotten on his nerves). If we can get him into this fold and more knowledgeable on Wikipedia's workings, then that would be absolutely awesome. SchuminWeb (Talk) 01:36, 12 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Bounding Talk

You can see a further response on my talk page, below what you wrote.--Achim 02:08, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

Check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Bounding as well as the article now. I hope that you will no longer see this as a threat to the commercial interests in your patent http://www.freshpatents.com/Power-strip-with-smoke-detection-auto-shutoff-dt20050804ptan20050168901.php.--Achim 00:11, 20 August 2006 (UTC)

Re: Bounding

Thank you for your suggestion! When you feel an article needs improvement, please feel free to make those changes. Wikipedia is a wiki, so anyone can edit almost any article by simply following the Edit this page link at the top. You don't even need to log in (although there are many reasons why you might want to). The Wikipedia community encourages you to be bold in updating pages. Don't worry too much about making honest mistakes — they're likely to be found and corrected quickly. If you're not sure how editing works, check out how to edit a page, or use the sandbox to try out your editing skills. New contributors are always welcome. [edit] Wikipedia:WikiProject Fire Service

Hello, I was browsing WikiPedia and noticed that you are interested in fire protection and/or firefighting and/or the fire service in general. I highly encourage you to stop by and check out our WikiProject relating to the Fire Service around the world. We are in need of many editors and administrators to help the cause. [edit] Wikimania in Atlanta!

Hi! I noticed your involvement on U.S. South-related articles, categories and WikiProjects, and I wanted to let you know about a bid we're formulating to get next year's Wikimania held in Atlanta! If you would like to help, be sure to sign your name to the "In Atlanta" section of the Southeast team portion of the bid if you're in town, or to the "Outside Atlanta" section if you still want to help but don't live in the city or the suburbs. If you would like to contribute more, please write on my talk page, the talk page of the bid, or join us at the #wikimania-atlanta IRC chat on freenode.org. Have a great day!

P.S. While this is a template for maximum efficiency, I would appreciate a note on my talk page so I know you got the message, and what you think. This is time-sensitive, so your urgent cooperation is appreciated. :) Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 08:15, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
