Author's note: I went on a Norse allusion overdrive. This will probably go over most people's heads.

Sonnet 9

The great Yggdrasil will one day fall down,
And the Ragnarok will finish its play;
Odin and Loki will both lose their crown
And Thor will follow and soon waste away.
But while the valkyries will have no more
Heroes to carry to Valhalla's gates,
Another worthy will still be in store,
For I will forever fight for our fates.
Just as Jormungand wraps around the Earth,
So eternity has locked 'round our love.
Not e'en Fenrir could destroy so much worth,
More precious than Vanaheim up above.
So when the Mimameid ceases to be,
Continue will the love from you and me.
