I noticed that you removed my "See also" link to Collusion twice now. Was wondering why? Rray 03:25, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for your answer on my talk page. I wrote you a reply there. Cheers. Rray 05:49, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
As I mentioned in my reply on my talk page, I'm not worried enough about it to debate the point with you, but thanks. You might consider explaining your reverts of other people's edits though, especially if you're going to revert them multiple times. Why are these SPAM links

Can you pls suggest why are these to be considered to be SPAM links suddenly ??

These are pretty valuable links that provide details of Logo Designers around the world in a very precise manner. Even memebers can keep this updated themselves.

What is wrong with this. There is no self promotion going on anywhere.

Bathroom singing

Updated DYK query On 4 September 2006, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Bathroom singing, which you created. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the "Did you know?" talk page.

Interesting that we didn't have an article on this already! I tweaked the tagline, hope it's okay. I'm uncertain as to why the bulk of the Google hits you got were from India, but it's quite interesting that they are. Cheers -- Samir धर्म 11:17, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

Dear Editor, since you have been involved in editing the Kven, Kven language, or Kvens of the past articles in the last months, articles that have been troubled by peristent POV-pushing, your name is listed in the Request for Arbitration on this matter. Implying that I create and maintain a series of useless articles is a personal attack. "Is your POV better than other people's?" is a derision. Why don't you go and say "stay cool" to my colleague? `'mikka (t) 07:52, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
Frankly, I don't see that implication being made. The nominator put your article up for deletion on the grounds that it wasn't necessary, which is hardly a slight on you. In context, that quote doesn't strike me as a personal attack either. BigHaz - Schreit mich an (Review me) 22:11, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

Chechnya

Hiya there, I see you're from the Russia area so I'm sure you know more about this than I do, but you've reverted some of the things I wrote on the Chechnya page about the etymology and understanding - all of which was taken from the BBC article which I referenced at the end of the paragraph. I'm not saying it's definitely right, but it does have a pretty decent source to back it up. I see now that the etymology is disputed, but I guess I trust the BBC when saying that the name Chechen isn't widely known or used by the locals. Just wondered if you had a source / lived there etc, only it's quite a relevant point to make in the context of renaming the country. Thanks. Iancaddy 18:47, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

Siberian Language afd

Hi, I don't really know you but I have from time to time been impressed by some of your edits. As I notice you speak Russian, would you mind looking at this afd for Siberian language? The debate is over whether or not such a thing even exists, and the sources being cited are often in Russian. I don't have a horse in this race, I just thought you might be better able to bring clarity to the discussion than most people. My Alt Account 23:31, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

James Barnett

Your AfD i think was uncalled for, you did it because you think the article is vanity and because of his website but he is notable and gained much national media attention for being expelled for being gay and having a gay website in the first place. Thats what makes him notable, i added some more links and body to the text too, i think it passes the notability test at this point and i ask the you dismiss the AfD, please let me know what you think. "Inverted bell"

Hi Mikkalai. Are you planning to make a page called "Inverted bell", which you have recently added to Capital as a redlink? I'd have thought it was a pretty unlikely subject! Agreed, it's a more accurate description of the capital in question, but it shouldn't be wikilinked, surely? SiGarb | Talk 19:11, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

Sounds intriguing. I look forward to it! SiGarb | Talk 19:23, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

Hi Mikkalai. It was nice to see my vorticella photo included in the inverted bell page, but i'm not sure it completly belongs there, since they grow underwater and can face any which way i think, the one in the picture was growing off the stem of a duck weed, so is a sideways bell :) and other species are free floating, hope that helps and good luck with the page sbandrews 11:10, 18 September 2006 (UTC)

Hi again Mikkalai. Do you mean geometric "shape", with an S (A "chape" is part of a scabbard or the tongue of a belt-buckle, apparently)? And "metaphoric", ending in C (I can't find a reference for your spelling)? SiGarb | Talk 12:27, 18 September 2006 (UTC)

Trolling

It is not "trolling" to remove unsourced material. You seem to suggest that your large number of edits gives you the right to ignore WP's rules about such material. As I said on the talk page, WP is not and cannot be based on the credibility of individual writers. It's been several months since you were first asked to provide a source for this passage. Nareek 10:46, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

If we start removing "unsoruced material" from wikipedia, I am afraid 3/4 of wikipedia will go. Do you want a "[1]" "[2]"... at every sentence? Iw we start deleting large pieces on a whim, I can easily delete 3/4 of content from texts from my watch list. My large number edits without previous offense gives me right to expect a different treatment that first best random vandal. It is a general rule of common sense. You may demand references, but there are less drastic ways to do so rather than deleting huge pieces. And you seem to know them. `'mikka (t) 15:57, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for providing a source. Nareek 19:43, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Developing Leadership Capacities Through Action Inquiry

Thank you for closing this AfD which was never going to be an easy AfD to close. However, though I agree with you extending the AfD, I was surprised that it should then be quickly closed after just one more comment. This is not an easy theory to understand but it is an encyclopaedic concept and is subject to independent review - see here. I should be grateful if you would reopen this AfD and allow time for further views. TerriersFan 23:27, 17 September 2006 (UTC)

Richard Nool

Hi. You nominated Richard Nool for deletion (it was successful). Could you please take a look at Ain Saar? Punkmorten 09:30, 18 September 2006 (UTC)

This one is a bit more notable: among the founders of Eesti Rahvusliku Liikumise (2006) (Estonian National Movement. Whoa, the article is already here! Looks like Estonian Righties do not sleep facing a wall! But Saar was not wikilinked there; done) I don't have time to figure out whether this is just noise. Eurasian Avars

User:Kaz, who claims to be autistic, inflicted a major disruption on the page Eurasian Avars. As a result its history is reduced to three lines; all the rest sits here. He claims that only Caucasian Avars are true Avars; the medieval nomads are "pseudo-Avars". You know I try to avoid conflicts with trolls these days. He already accused me of being a sockpuppet of User:Tajik, so I ask you to take a look at the matter. --Ghirla -трёп- 07:59, 19 September 2006 (UTC)

Deleted Shift work link

I noticed you deleted the external links I added to the "shift work" topic. I would like to know why you deleted the links. The www.shift-work.com link is to my company's website, but we specialize in shift work (the topic) and we have lots of free information about working and managing shift work. Maybe I should link it more directly to an advice page? Let me know. I do not understand why you would delete www.sleepfoundation.org. They are a true non profit that gives away free advice on sleep and sleep disorders. Many shiftworkers have sleep problems and this site discusses shift work sleep problems specifically. Could you please tell me your philosophy on what qualifies to go under an "external links" section. Thanks <>

The philosophy is that we are creating encyclopedia, not a web directory. You are very welcome to contribute actual text to the article. A website must be reputable to be linked to. Today any college student can give advices from a website on a server in his dorm. Generally speaking, either website must be reputable or hiw owner must be reputable. In wikipedia this may be established only in one way: to write an article about person/website. If it is not deleted, then OK.
Please also keep in mind that there are billions of websites. You may easily pump hundreds of links into an article, 75% of which will give the same advice. Therefore the priority is actual text of a wikipedia article.
Also, don't forget that people may use google themselves to find other websites. Wikipedia is a way of organizing of information into relevant chunks: one topic in one piece. External links must be directly related to the topic. In our case, the "sleepfoundation.com" link is more relevant to sleep deprivation, sleep disorder pages, etc. In any other pages it may easily considered as spam, especially when linkes to the home page of a business. In other words, you are right: links directly to advices are more welcome. But still more welcome are actual advices in the corresponding articles. `'mikka (t) 22:13, 19 September 2006 (UTC)

Shift work

Thanks for your explanation of your philosophy for the wikipedia. I understand your desire to link only to reputable websites. From reviewing other wikipedia entries, I do see many other external links to firms such as ours, as long as the website provides information. We are a very reputable, and well known company within our niche of shift work. Shift work is a broad topic for us with many issues. I'm not sure adding all of our knowledge to the entry would make it clearer to the user. What is your opinion of linking to this page www.shift-work.com/shiftwork.html? That is where I should have linked to the first time. It has information for shiftwork managers and employees and articles on 20 different topics, all directly related to shift work. What do you think? (I read the wikispam guidelines and this is the only link our site has in wikipedia and I don't care about increasing our ranking. We just have a strong interest in the subject of shift work.)

Liozna confusion

Hi Mikkalai: You created a lot of confusion by creating the Liozna article in the middle of a vote that had that name in it. You then compounded the problem by adding the word "sinagogue" into Liozna sinagogue which is the incorrect way to spell synagogue - and it then made me look stupid for not knowing how to spell in my own nomination, when it was you who decided to change the name in the middle of the vote which is still going on at Wikipedia:Deletion review/Log/2006 September 19. And you made another error by calling it a "sinagogue" because it's not about that, it's about a Hasidic rebbe and not his synagogue. You should not be changing the names of articles when they are part of a current live vote. Thanks for noting this. IZAK 03:55, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

Source

You seem to be stuck on a source policy where it is entirely irrelevant. You show in your contributions very little sensitivity to context (Just A Minute) (English as a second language?). Your own 'phobia' contributions are pitifully weak (and 'unsourced' as described). Perhaps it is best if you do not contribute to articles about the English language RuthieK 08:55, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
