Michael Ligalig was born in Bohol, Philippines, and completed his Bachelor of Mass Communication from Silliman University in Dumaguete City.

Right after graduation, he served as educational program director in one of the biggest printing companies in the Philippines, Midtown Printing, Co., Inc., which is based in Davao City, Philippines. Among other capacities, he was acting as editor in chief of Your Guide Travel Magazine published by Midtown Printing Company, Inc. and editorial consultant on other significant publications produced by Midtown Printing Co., Inc.

Michael Ligalig is now based in Thailand. He is about to complete his dual Master of Business Administration degree from Troy University, Alabama, USA and St Theresa Inti College of Thailand. Mike is the administrator of Tubag Bohol, a lively forum site for all people from Bohol all over the world.
