Talk:Mike Hammer
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hammer was originally intended as a comic book character, which Spillane couldn't get published. (I saw that in a history of Marvel or DC comics, I think...)
On another note, can anybody say what his office address was? I seem to recall it was mentioned in the Keach TV series once... Trekphiler 00:17, 3 January 2006 (UTC)
The old series or the new series? I'm watching the new one all the way through for the next few days, if I see it I'll post it here. JN322 14:21, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
- I've been watching, but I've noticed that so far the only reference I've seen is that they mention his email address on his card. JN322 13:18, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

- I'm guessing that's the new syndicated show. I saw the '80s, titled "Spillane's Hammer"/"New Hammer", & I recall once somebody giving a cabbie his address. Last I saw they were on "A&E"; not anymore? Trekphiler 23:59, 14 February 2007 (UTC)

- No, I haven't seen it on that channel in a long time. Which is too bad, I'd like to see that series. JN322 00:30, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Thegirlhunters.jpg
Image:Thegirlhunters.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
