After the initial mention of any name, the person may be referred to by surname only.

Isn't there an exception for when people are primarily know by their stage name? See Prince (musician). --Pmsyyz 03:59, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

In Japanese, it's quite common to refer to given names throughout an article, rather than surnames, in such a manner. LordAmeth 22:01, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Costumes

It seems like Mika is always wearing more than the other members of MiniMoni, in the PVs and such. When they're wearing short skirts, she's in a full-body jumpsuit. In the "Crazy About You" video, they're all wearing short tank tops, and she's wearing a sort of long coat over it. Why? Is she hiding a not-so-nice figure or something? The reason varies depending on whom you ask. The official reason given by Mari was because Mika was taller, but I don't buy that. I believe the real reason was because she was a foreigner, and the Japanese are a bit neurotic when it comes to gaigokujin. They didn't want there to be any confusion in the minds of the children watching. Mika's role in the group was also different: she was the "cool American" who taught English and world facts, as opposed to Mari who was the boss and Nono and Aibon who were the troublemakers. And lastly, she did indeed have a thicker, more womanly body. — Celedam 13:08, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

Why is there no mention of her mother's nationality? While she was in Japan, Mika constantly referred to herself as a "halfsie". — Celedam 12:55, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
