Jukurit have been established 1970, the ice-hockey team from Mikkeli which plays in the Mestis series.

Jukurit of the Mikkeli were got by its beginning 28.7.1970 when the Mikkelin Pallo-Kissat and Mikkelin Palloilijat combined. Jukurit were marked to register 17.11.1970. Jukurit paid a visit at the final stages of the 1970's in 1st division but were not able to establish their place at the series level. 1977–78 of the season remained the best achievement, the fifth place. In the spring of 1980 Jukurit fell into the 2nd division.
Jukurit over the following one and a half decades ground the 2nd division with the varying success. The history of the company reached 1998-99 with the season of the turning point. At that time Matti Turunen arrived to be the executive director of Jukurit and Risto Dufva from Jyväskylä to be a head coach. Jukurit shot at once to the rise and 1999–2000 got the series place to the season from Suomi-sarja that was just established. In the spring of 2000 Jukurit celebrated the championship of Suomi-sarja and returned to 1st division the name of which was changed with the Sm-Liiga closing of the Mestis after a 20 year break. Jukuris were surprised by all and mestiksen celebrated championship immediately in the spring of 2001, such as also, 2002 and 2003. In 2004 Jukurit had to be satisfied with silver, however, when, KalPa and or a solution to the fifth final the extra time gained the championship at the goal. 2005 Jukurit led the a semifinal series already with victories 2–0, but Sport of Vaasa spurted past and 3–2 achieved finals against with victories KalPaa. TuTo still turned over Jukurit in the bronze match and Jukurit had to be satisfied with the fourth place. Jukurit played to the championship stock 2006 after having won 3–1 in the Sport finals of Vaasa with victories.
