[edit] Plot

Miki Kharo England, meaning take me to England, is about a young man called "Aftab" (Iftikhar Thakur) who wants to get married and live his life in England. He is a very humorous and fun loving character who does not really have a fixed occupation and enjoys roaming around the village with his two best friends; Shahid and Mithu. He is rejected by his cousin "Tina" who comes to Pakistan from London, England with her mum to marry Aftab but she does not like him due to his attitude and unusual habits and falls in love with another boy from that village Shahid a.k.a Shedu (Anjum Malik) who is also one of Aftabs best friend. Then at the end Tinas mum promises to get Aftab married from England, ti a girl she knows so it has a merry happy ending, and he is very excited about the prospects of going to London and living their with his newly wed wife.

[edit] Popularity

Miki Kharo England was very popular and successful amongst the Pothwari/Mirpuri community. It was first aired on DM digital and was instantly loved by its watchers. The wonderful and refreshing greenery shown in the play reminds viewers of their past lives and the comedy of the play is a great asset to it as it draws people to watch it. Because of its popularity and humour a sequel was made. It was named Main Julian England, meaning "I'm off to England". It was a carried on story of how they get married and he plans going to England. It is rumored that there will be another one called "Sain In England" which will be released in "The Miki Kharo England Series" it also supposed to be filmed in bradford, west yorkshire. after the instant success of the first two. But these rumors are still unconfirmed but I am sure people will love to watch the sequel if it is ever made.
