Mikey Impossible is the third (though second aired) episode of Kappa Mikey. It aired immediately after the premiere of The Switch on the same day.
[edit] Summary
Ozu decides to take a vacation- his first in several decades. Before going, he reads off a long list of rules, most importantly, not to harm his prized 500-year-old Bonsai tree or his samurai sword. Of course, even before he reads this, Mikey accidentally sets the tree aflame with Ozu's samurai sword. Now, Mikey and most of the gang (excluding Lily, who is their temporary boss, and doing all she can to keep them busy) must work to replace the Bonsai before Ozu gets back from his unusually short vacation (to the Tokyo airport). There is no real subplot in this episode.
[edit] Trivia
- Title is inspired by the movie Mission: Impossible
- This episode is the first to show flashbacks of Ozu from 1970 and his life at different stages with his 500-year old bonsai tree. The latter is first in the running gag of Ozu-related flashbacks where his face is the same as his present-day face.
- When Mikey is talking about how he broke into LilyMu studios, a brief parody of the "Old Time Rock and Roll" scene from Tom Cruise's Risky Business is seen.
