Mike Wilkinson

Mike Wilkinson (born October 1, 1981 in Blue Mounds, Wisconsin), is an American professional basketball player who is currently playing for BC Khimki in Moscow, Russia.[1]

Wilkinson went to Wisconsin Heights High School and played basketball for the Vanguards. Senior year, Wilkinson earned Mr. Basketball which is the POY in Wisconsin High School Basketball.[2]

A 6'8" forward from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Wilkinson played four years for the Badgers from 2001-2005, redshirting his freshman year for a total of five years with the basketball program, averaging 14.3 ppg, and selected as First Team All-Big Ten his senior year. He was just the second player to finish with 1,500 points and 800 rebounds at Wisconsin.[3]

The next year he moved to the Greek League to continue his career. He played for two years for Aris Thessaloniki (2005-2006, 2006-2007). He was selected both years to play in the Greek All-Star games.

He has been granted a Macedonian citizenship and plays for the Republic of Macedonia national basketball team.[4]

Wilkinson signed a two-year contract to play for Khimki, a Russian League team.[5] He is currently averaging 8.6 points and 4.4 rebounds.
