Mike Whitehead (born June 29, 1981 in Medford, Oregon) is a professional mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter. He was recently fighting as a light heavyweight for the Tucson Scorpions of the International Fight League (IFL).

Mike Whitehead is a strong, versatile wrestler with excellent submissions and heavy hands when it comes to striking. With wins over some big names in the heavyweight division, Whitehead has shown himself to be an up-and-coming star in the International Fight League. After garnering a loyal fan-base as the non-chalant, no-nonsense big man on the Spike TV reality series The Ultimate Fighter 2, Whitehead has parlayed that notoriety into MMA success.[1]

Mike Whitehead is a 3 time All American Wrestler and Abu Dhabi qualifier. Mike wrestled at North Idaho JC, Southern Oregon University, and Missouri.

He is 20-5 in his MMA career with an 12 fight win streak, four straight victories in the IFL. He has proven himself dangerous standing and striking , as well as with wrestling and submission grappling.

Recently he competed in the standup only fight organization Xtreme Fighting Association where he defeated Ethen[sic] Cox by unanimous decision.[1]
