Mike Weber (born December 16, 1987, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) is a professional ice hockey defenceman. He played hockey for Seneca Valley High School in Harmony, Pa. He was drafted in the second round, 57th overall, by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. After playing in the Ontario Hockey League with the Windsor Spitfires and Barrie Colts, he turned professional and joined the Sabres' American Hockey League affiliate, the Rochester Americans, for the 2007–08 AHL season. He was called up to the National Hockey League by the Sabres on two occasions early in the same season.[1][2] He was recalled for a third time in March 2008 and scored his first NHL point on an assist in his hometown against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Coincidentally, Mike Weber is also an amateur hockey player who plays for Long Beach State. Mike Weber from Binghamton, New York is second in the record books at Long Beach State for single season scoring. Weber accumulated 77 points in 31 games during the 2006–2007 season. Weber helped Long Beach State to two regional appearances.
