Mike Vellucci

Mike Vellucci (born August 11, 1966 in Farmington, Michigan) is a retired professional ice hockey player and the current general manager of the Plymouth Whalers in the Ontario Hockey League. Vellucci was also the head coach of the Plymouth Whalers from 2001–2008. His NHL career was mostly spent in the minors, playing only two games in the 1987–88 NHL season for the Hartford Whalers. He has been the coach and GM of the Whalers since 2001. On April 10, 2007, Vellucci was named the winner of the Matt Leyden Trophy as the OHL coach of the year.
