Michael William Tuffrey is a Liberal Democrat politician and member of the London Assembly. He took his seat on 18 February 2002 replacing Louise Bloom who resigned for family reasons.
He is an accountant and was a member of the Greater London Council (1985-6) and councillor of the London Borough of Lambeth from 1990 to 2002.
Mike Tuffrey took over the leadership of the Liberal Democrat London Assembly group in May 2006. He is a member of the Assembly's Transport, Environment and Business Management and Appointments Committee and also acts as the Liberal Democrat Group Leader on the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority.
