Mike Richardson (soccer)

Michael Richardson, a native of Dobson, North Carolina, is a soccer player. He set a national high school scoring record in 2001 for most goals in a season. In 2002, Michael broke his own single season scoring record.

He attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro on an athletic scholarship, competing on a team that consistently ranked amongst the top 25 D-1 programs in the United States.

Currently, he plays mid-field for the Charleston Battery.

  • Michael was once snubbed for athlete of the year honors at his hometown high school of Surry Central after setting the aforementioned records.
