Mike Reilly (politician)

Mike Reilly (born May 27, 1944) was first elected to the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors in November 1996 to represent the 5th Supervisor District. The 5th district encompasses the West County including the entire Sonoma County coast, the lower Russian River area, Sebastopol and the west and southwest Santa Rosa areas extending in to Highway 101. He is a Democrat.

Reilly was born in Hayward, California and moved to Sonoma County in 1977.[1]

Reilly was a former aide to Assemblyman Dan Hauser. For the decade prior to his election, he served as Executive Director of West County Community Services, a non-profit social services agency. He also served for thirteen years on local school boards in the West County.[2]

Reilly was first elected to represent Sonoma County's 5th District following Ernie Carpenter's retirement from the Board in 1996.

On May 27, 2007 Reilly announced that he would not run for reelection at the end of his third at the end of 2008.
