Mike Patto was a musician most notably with Timebox and Patto. He was born Michael Thomas McCarthy in Cirencester on September 22nd, 1942, and died of cancer on March 4th, 1979. The first band with which he sang professionally was The Bo Street Runners who in 1964 had won a prestigous TV band competition, Ready Steady Win. Mike fronted the group from October 1965 until they broke up twelve months later. His only recording with the band was a cover of the Beatle's song 'Baby You Can Drive My Car'.
