Mike Mearls

Michael Mearls is a writer and designer of fantasy role-playing games (RPGs) and related fiction. He is one of the best known of the current generation of designers.
He was published by a number of big-name gaming publishers for several years before being hired in June 2005 as a designer by Wizards of the Coast. He is currently a Lead Developer on Dungeons & Dragons R&D[1] working on the upcoming 4th Edition. During the period from 2000-up until his hiring at WotC, he was one of the most prolific freelance writers in the gaming industry. Mearls is an alumnus of Dartmouth College.[citation needed] While at Dartmouth he was a member of Sigma Nu fraternity.
