Mike Lindup (born Michael Lindup, 17 March 1959, in London, England) is best known as the keyboard player and falsetto voiced singer, who joined with Mark King and others to form the 1980s - 1990s British funk, rock and pop band, Level 42.
Since July 2000 he has been part of the live line-up of UK/Brazilian outfit Da Lata, playing keyboards, percussion and providing backing vocals, who have been performing from clubs to festivals in the UK & Europe, USA & Canada, Japan, South Africa and China.
In 2000, at his wedding, played with Mark King, Wally Badarou and Dominic Miller the song The Sun Goes Down (Living It Up)
In 2006 he rejoined Level 42, replacing Lyndon Connah, for a variety of touring appearances, and the recording of the album, Retroglide.
Mike raced in the UK Firestone National 2CV Racing Championship, with some success, in the early 90s in a car sponsored by Level 42. He partook in at least one 24 hour race at Mondello Park in Ireland.
In a 2006 forum post, it was claimed that Lindup is or was a member of the Landmark Forum movement.[1]
