Mike Leveille (born December 25, 1985) is a professional lacrosse player with the Chicago Machine of the Major League Lacrosse. He was an All-American at Syracuse University, and was awarded the Tewaaraton Trophy in 2008.

[edit] Collegiate career

A four-time All-American at Syracuse,[1] Leveille led the Orange to the 2008 NCAA Championship where he earned the tournament's Most Outstanding Player honor. He recorded three points on one goal and two assists in the champioship game. [2] In the semifinals, he scored five goals to propel the Orange into the Championship game, including a goal with 3:00 remaining in the game to send the game into overtime, and the eventual game-winner in the second overtime period [3]

Leveille was awarded the 2008 Tewaaraton Trophy, awarded to the awarded "Most Outstanding" collegiate lacrosse player in the United States.[4][5]

Leveille was drafted in the 2008 Major League Lacrosse Collegiate draft by the New Jersey Pride, who hours later traded him to the Chicago Machine. His brother Kevin Leveille is also a member of the Chicago Machine.[6]

Leveille made an immediate impact, winning Rookie of the Week honors in first week in the league. He scored two goals and assisted on two goals by his brother Kevin against the Washington Bayhawks.[7]
