Mike Green (game developer)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Mike Green is a game developer. He is best known for creating the first publicly released emulator for playing genuine arcade games with remade graphics, music, and sound effects. Since the emulator used the actual ROM images, the gameplay stayed true to the arcade original. The emulator was originally entitled PacDX, and emulated the Midway arcade version of Pac-Man. It was later renamed EmuDX when support for more games was added. Although EmuDX has long since been discontinued, he aided the Raine team with adding the EmuDX content packs to their emulator.
He also created the Space Invaders emulator SinVader, which was the basis for the Intel 8080 arcade emulator, LASER (Little Arcade System Emulator Releases).
His most recent public domain work has been a port of MAME for the PSP called MAMEPSP which is an ongoing project and can be found at http://dxdev.dcemu.co.uk
