Mike Gibbon (born John Michael Gibbon on 27 January 1942 in Fulmer, Buckinghamshire, England) is an English television producer and director.

He is best known for directing and producing the BBC televised soap opera, EastEnders. He began directing the programme in 1985 and began producing the programme in 1988. He became the show's new boss following the departure of show creator and series producer Julia Smith but, due to considerable personal conflict with the Head of Series, Peter Cregeen, was abruptly replaced by Michael Ferguson.

His directorial credits include New Scotland Yard(1972); Helen: A Woman of Today (1973);Thick as Thieves (1974); Within These Walls (1974); Intimate Strangers (1974); Emmerdale Farm: The Brack Report (1982); Airline and Fair City (1988). Executive Producer and Creator of Malaysia's first English-speaking soap, City of the Rich. Deviser and Adaptor, together with David Yallop of the Herbert Jenkins' Bindle books. Co-Development Producer of a feature-length animation of the children's classic The Log of the Ark with the Animation Partnership and Warner Bros.. Remains To Be Seen developed with Lauren Anderson for HBO. The League Against Christmas film adaptation, together with Michael Robartes.

Gibbon married Moya McCarthy in July 1976 and they have a daughter, Sophie.
