Mike Elwiss

Michael Elwiss (born in Doncaster on 2nd May 1954) is an English former footballer.
He joined his local club Doncaster Rovers as a junior and went on to make 97 appearances between 1971 and 1974, scoring 30 goals.
He moved to Preston North End in February 1974, scoring both goals in a 2-2 draw against Carlisle United in his debut on 2nd March 1974. He was twice named as the club's Player of the Year before being transferred to Crystal Palace in 1978 after making 192 appearances and scoring 60 goals.
Made 20 appearanes for Palace, scoring 7 goals, before injury threatened to end his career.
Returned to Deepdale on loan in March 1980, making a further 10 appearanes and scoring 3 goals before his injury forced him to retire from the game at the end of the 1979/80 season.
