Mike Cahen

Mike Cahen (born 26 October, 1959, Kensington, London) of Franco-Nigerian heritage is a guitarist, bassist and songwriter. His main instrument is the guitar, he has also worked as a bassist and is currently learning to play an Indian instrument, the Mohan Veena modified guitar developed by Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt.
He attended the Guitar Institute of Technology ( G.I.T ) at the Musician's Institute in Los Angeles between 1984-1986 passing the vocational diploma with honors.
Relocating to Paris, France he did session and live work for various projects.
He has notably worked with : Elkie Brooks: Unfinished Business Tour 1999-2000, Tour 2000 and the album Live 2000, The Strange Fruit Tour, Shangri La Tour, The Hits and The Blues Tour , the Don't Cry Out Loud album recorded live at The Shepherds Bush Empire, Benjamin Zephaniah, Suzie Quatro, Lionel Ritchie, producers Jean Roussel and Trevor Morais.
His current projects include RogMikEnzo, an improvisational trio with bassist Roger Inniss and drummer Enzo Todesco.
Mike also demos Bare Knuckle Pickups in France, a U.K brand of handwound guitar pickups founded by Tim Mills.
Mike has played with : Jean Roussel, Geoff Whitehorn, Bernie Marsden, Al Hodge (rock musician) , Enzo Todesco, Roger Inniss, Jonny Dyke, Rosa Avila, Tom Dostel, French jazz pianist Jacques Bouniard, The One, Sonny Diamond, Amanda Fahey.
