Mike Bianco is the head coach for the University of Mississippi baseball team. He was hired in 2000, and his first season was in 2001. In his first five seasons, he has led the Rebels to a .642 winning percentage (198-110-1), besting even Tom Swayze (.542), the namesake of the Rebel's home field. As head coach, Bianco has led the Rebels to hosting four NCAA baseball regionals and two NCAA baseball Super Regionals. During his tenure the Rebels have won an SEC Western Division Championship (2005), the 2006 SEC Baseball Tournament, and three NCAA regional championships (2005, 2006, and 2007). In 2005 and 2006, his teams hosted Super Regionals and both years finished one win away from the College World Series.
Bianco played two seasons (1988-89) at LSU after transferring from Indian River Community College in Florida. He was the Tigers' starting catcher and team captain on the 1989 team that finished third at the College World Series.
