Mike Baker

Mike Baker is a former covert field operations officer for the Central Intelligence Agency, specializing in counterterrorism, counternarcotics and counterinsurgency operations. Since leaving U.S. government service, he has been a principal in building and running several companies in the private intelligence, security and risk management sector, and appears frequently in the media as an expert on such issues.
He served fourteen years in the CIA's Operations Directorate before joining the London office of the investigative firm Maxima in the 1990s. In 2000, Baker along with former MI5 agent Nick Day, co-founded Diligence LLC, a firm specializing in information and security analysis and consulting. In 2005, he sold his holdings in Diligence LLC and founded a new firm, Veritas Global, an information and risk management consulting firm.
After a year and a half with the Arkin Group, an intelligence risk management company, in 2007 Baker started up two companies: Prescience LLC, a business intelligence firm, and Prescience Capital, a private equity fund manager. Prescience LLC mainly conducts investigation and due diligence operations for hedge funds and for U.S. funds of funds.
Baker also serves as a script consultant and advisor within the entertainment industry, lending his technical expertise to such programs as the BBC's popular spy series Spooks, and the major motion pictures Proof of Life and Spy Game. He is also regular contributor to the Fox News late-night talk show Red Eye w/ Greg Gutfeld, and writes opinion columns for Fox News' website.[1] [2]
