Mikata, Fukui

Mikata (三方町; -chou) was a town located in Mikata District, Fukui, Japan.

As of 2003, the town has an estimated population of 9,026 and a density of 93.47 persons per km². The total area is 96.57 km².

In May 31 of 2005, Mikata and Kaminaka was combined into one town, which was named Wakasa.
