[edit] Media Power Inc
Media Power is a unique tech company that develops consumer and business products based on Augmented Reality technology (AR) and other advanced systems. Media Power has four divisions offering a range of hi-tech goods and marketing services: Magitech; GetFugu.com; Gizmondo; and Chinetic. [7]
[edit] Gizmondo
The Gizmondo[4] is a handheld gaming console with GPRS and GPS technology, which was manufactured by Tiger Telematics and its subsidiary, Gizmondo Europe Ltd. Ljungman's company 3P PreForm Marketing and Research[2] performed research and development work for Gizmondo Europe since 2003[8] and was paid $7.6 million.[9]
Launched in 2005,[10] the Gizmondo sold poorly, and by February of 2006, Gizmondo Europe Ltd was forced into bankruptcy. Ljungman was questioned on his business connections with Gizmondo Europe by the liquidators, who were satisfied with Ljungman's explanations.[2]
Carl Freer bought Gizmondo Europe's intellectual property rights.[4] He is working towards a relaunch of the Gizmondo unit with Ljungman.
[edit] 3P PreForm Marketing and Research
3P PreForm Marketing and Research went bankrupt on October 15, 2004. Ljungman was accused of using 3P PreForm to over charge a pre partly owned company rendering an input deduct-able VAT of SEK 1.9 million in the pre-owned company. He was arrested on October 19, 2004, but released shortly thereafter pending trial.[8] On trial, Ljungman was convicted of tax fraud. He is appealing the decision.[2][3]
