Mika Midolo

Mika Midolo (née Amitovski) (born March 25, 1977) is a spokesperson for the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC). She is the "transit reporter", providing radio and television media with live-to-air commuter and transit updates directly from TTC Transit Control.

While Midolo's position does not tie her to any specific media outlets, she is most commonly seen or heard in the morning on Citytv Toronto's Breakfast Television (BT), then throughout the day on local all-news cable channel CP24, and during morning and afternoon rush hour on Toronto all-news radio station 680 News.

On BT in particular, Midolo has become a well-known personality. She is regularly consulted when hosts Kevin Frankish and Dina Pugliese are discussing human interest matters and people's favourites that could use another opinion.

TTC riders can also hear Midolo's voice doing pre-recorded safety tips, and advertisement announcements over the Public Address system in subway stations. As well, during the Christmas season, Midolo has occasionally played the role of "Santa's Helper" at TTC subway stations, giving out candy canes and greeting riders.

Midolo gave birth to a son named Corrado in June 2005 and, after a year-long maternity leave, she returned to her position on July 4, 2006.
